They have holes big enough to accommodate large stringing materials like round cords, suede lace, and ribbons. They can be crimped to hold materials in place. Nylon jaw pliers are one option. Or use a hammer and block, tapping gently until hold is achieved! You can also add glue for extra security.
TIP: The medium barrel bead works with a 2mm round or flat leather or cord. The large works with 5mm flat or round leather or cord.
