Opelon Stretch Fiber Cord Variety Pack, 4 sizes, 25 yd. each
A handy assortment pack so you have all 4 sizes at your finger tips. Never worry about ordering the wrong size stretch cord again! Stretch cord is not all the same! Opelon tops the charts by far. Most people think stretch cord is, essentially, elastic. And some varieties are. But this Japanese made stretch cord is a different animal entirely. It is made of fibre, not elastic, and has a resiliency that will last for years.
Most of the cheapo stretch cord will eventually stop bouncing back. Opelon is incredibly strong - if it lasts well for a kid's bracelet you have your answer! Opelon will not degrade after exposure to the sun or skin oils. You can even use it to hang decorations!
PLEASE NOTE: If you are working with natural stone you likely will have sharp edges and, possibly, a rough interior. This is part of the drilling process. Before stringing, use a bead reamer and some water to smooth out the edges and the interior to ensure the Opelon (or any other stretch cord for that matter) doesn't fray.

- How to use:
- String your beads and tie a surgeon's knot (do an extra loop for the first tie and a regular loop for the second).
- Add a dab of Super New Glue (available here) Let dry for a minute then pull into a bead to hide the knot.
- For heavier stones:
- Follow the same pattern but thread the Opelon through the beads a second time for extra security. Tie the knot, dab the glue and away you go!
