Artistic Wire has long been the go to choice for wire wrapping but it is also suitable for looming, chain maille, jig work, weaving and even crochet. For knotting a better choice is Griffin Silk, also on this site.
22 Gauge is the most popular size - dead soft for flexibility but it holds its shape beautifully. Thickness increases as the gauge number decreases.

NOTES:
- Gold is actually plated with pure silver first then plated with gold. This provides excellent tarnish resistance.
- For Gold Color options: Champagne is a lovely pale gold, Bare Yellow Brass is a slightly deeper gold and Tarnish Resistant Brass a deeper warmer gold. Any can be substituted for Gold. Bronze is classic dark bronze.
- Bare Phosphor Bronze, sometimes called tin bronze, is a great choice for antique or vintage styling. It naturally patinas over time. Its alloy content of tin and phosphorous makes it excellent to resist corrosion and can be soldered.
